About House Galatia
Galatia Mercenary Company started out as a loosely organized collection of fighters with foam blades, questionable judgment, and an impressive ability to show up wherever things were about to get loud. They were known for their battlefield competence, their loyalty to one another, and their strong belief that getting paid in glory was acceptable, but getting paid in snacks was better.
Over time, Galatia kept finding themselves fighting alongside the Kingdom of Gwynedd. One battle turned into another, friendships were forged, inside jokes were born, and somehow—without anyone quite remembering signing the paperwork—the mercenaries stopped being “hired help” and started being “our people.” Eventually, the Kingdom made it official, and Galatia Mercenary Company evolved into House Galatia.
Today, House Galatia proudly serves the Kingdom of Gwynedd with the same chaotic competence they always have—now with banners, titles, and slightly more responsibility. They remain experts in hitting things, holding lines, and asking important tactical questions like “Are we charging?” and “Who has the water?” Though no longer mercenaries by name, they’ll forever carry that scrappy, battle-tested spirit… just with better colors and a place to call home.
Galatian’s Call
Original Composition by Lord Taal
In Monroe park I learned to fight,
Swinging swords from day to night
In killing men I found delight, I’ll tell you who I am
CHORUS
I am a Galatian
I am a Galatian
I am a Galatian
And this is who I am
I’ll fight till blood comes from my eyes,
and drink until my liver dies
In love and warfare my heart lies, I’ll tell you who I am
CHORUS
In Teutoburg I’ve spent some time,
Having drinks with Gin and Lime
And singing songs with clever rhymes, I’ll tell you who I am
CHORUS
With sword and shield I used to roam,
and now in Gwynedd I am home
My heart is steel my sword is foam, I’ll tell you who I am
FINAL CHORUS
I am a Galatian
I am a Galatian
I am a Galatian
And that is who I am!
